Aldi’s Glen Marnoch Highland Single Malt Whisky (£17.49, 70cl) has been awarded a gold medal at the world-renowned International Spirits Challenge (ISC) for the second year running – and costs less than £20.

 

Traditionally matured in hand crafted white oak casks for a minimum of three years, the expertly distilled award winner beat brands costing up to 55% more, such as Peat Chimney Wemyss Malts which retails for £38.74ii.

 

The budget supermarket also scooped up not one but THREE silver medals for its Glen Marnoch Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky (£17.49, 70cl), Glen Marnoch 12 YO Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky (£21.99, 70cl) and Glen Marnoch Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky (£17.49, 70cl) – the same accolade awarded to The Glenturret Triple Wood Single Malt Whisky, which costs 65% more!iii
